श्रेष्ठं॑ यविष्ठ भार॒ताग्ने॑ द्यु॒मन्त॒मा भ॑र । वसो॑ पुरु॒स्पृहं॑ र॒यिम्
śreṣṭhaṃ yaviṣṭha bhāratāgne dyumantamā bhara vaso puruspṛhaṃ rayim
Best of the offerings, O Bharata-Agni, bear the radiant heaven; dwell, O Vasas, desiring abundance and prosperity.

मा नो॒ अरा॑तिरीशत दे॒वस्य॒ मर्त्य॑स्य च । पर्षि॒ तस्या॑ उ॒त द्वि॒षः
mā no arātirīśata devasya martyasya ca parṣi tasyā uta dviṣaḥ
Do not be hostile to the wealth and power of the god or of the mortal; drive away enmity from her.

All things by thee and by us are like rivers of support; may we thoroughly overcome our enemies.

śuciḥ pāvaka vandyo'gne bṛhadvi rocase tvaṃ ghṛtebhirāhutaḥ
Pure, consuming, worthy of worship, Agni, you shine with great brilliance; you are anointed with clarified butter.

tvaṃ no asi bhāratāgne vaśābhirukṣabhiḥ aṣṭāpadībhirāhutaḥ
Thou art for us, O Bharata-Agni, adorned with control and with guarding cows; be clothed with eight-footed (swift) steeds, anointed with oil.

drvannaḥ sarpirāsutiḥ pratno hotā vareṇyaḥ sahasasputro adbhutaḥ
We offer cooked food, the serpent-born, the swift: the best invoked priest, the desirable one; the thousand sons were produced wondrously.
