अ॒ग्निमी॑ळे भु॒जां यवि॑ष्ठं शा॒सा मि॒त्रं दु॒र्धरी॑तुम् । यस्य॒ धर्म॒न्स्व१॒॑रेनीः॑ सप॒र्यन्ति॑ मा॒तुरूधः॑
agnimīḷe bhujāṃ yaviṣṭhaṃ śāsā mitraṃ durdharītum yasya dharmansva1renīḥ saparyanti māturūdhaḥ
I invoke Agni, the radiant, the mighty one, the supporter of law, to overcome the hard to overcome; may mothers (gods) attend his sacred order.

यमा॒सा कृ॒पनी॑ळं भा॒साके॑तुं व॒र्धय॑न्ति । भ्राज॑ते॒ श्रेणि॑दन्
yamāsā kṛpanīḷaṃ bhāsāketuṃ vardhayanti bhrājate śreṇidan
They increase the dark-blue banner that makes light; it shines like a row of spears.

अ॒र्यो वि॒शां गा॒तुरे॑ति॒ प्र यदान॑ड्दि॒वो अन्ता॑न् । क॒विर॒भ्रं दीद्या॑नः
aryo viśāṃ gātureti pra yadānaḍdivo antān kavirabhraṃ dīdyānaḥ
The noble one goes through the paths of the realms, reaching the ends of heaven; the sage reveals the cloud-like light.

जु॒षद्ध॒व्या मानु॑षस्यो॒र्ध्वस्त॑स्था॒वृभ्वा॑ य॒ज्ञे । मि॒न्वन्सद्म॑ पु॒र ए॑ति
juṣaddhavyā mānuṣasyordhvastasthāvṛbhvā yajñe minvansadma pura eti
May the libation be poured; men standing above bring it to the sacrifice; the river flows into the town.

स हि क्षेमो॑ ह॒विर्य॒ज्ञः श्रु॒ष्टीद॑स्य गा॒तुरे॑ति । अ॒ग्निं दे॒वा वाशी॑मन्तम्
sa hi kṣemo haviryajñaḥ śruṣṭīdasya gātureti agniṃ devā vāśīmantam
For indeed the offering and the yāgya are welfare for him; they make Agni the mighty and wealthy.

य॒ज्ञा॒साहं॒ दुव॑ इषे॒ऽग्निं पूर्व॑स्य॒ शेव॑स्य । अद्रेः॑ सू॒नुमा॒युमा॑हुः
yajñāsāhaṃ duva iṣe'gniṃ pūrvasya śevasya adreḥ sūnumāyumāhuḥ
I desire the yāga; kindle Agni of the ancient rite, the sons of the mountain utter forth.

नरो॒ ये के चा॒स्मदा विश्वेत्ते वा॒म आ स्युः॑ । अ॒ग्निं ह॒विषा॒ वर्ध॑न्तः
naro ye ke cāsmadā viśvette vāma ā syuḥ agniṃ haviṣā vardhantaḥ
Men who are ours, whether all or some, may come to the left; increasing Agni with offerings.

कृ॒ष्णः श्वे॒तो॑ऽरु॒षो यामो॑ अस्य ब्र॒ध्न ऋ॒ज्र उ॒त शोणो॒ यश॑स्वान् । हिर॑ण्यरूपं॒ जनि॑ता जजान
kṛṣṇaḥ śveto'ruṣo yāmo asya bradhna ṛjra uta śoṇo yaśasvān hiraṇyarūpaṃ janitā jajāna
Black, white, ruddy—his pair of yokers, straight and shining-glorious; born with a golden form, he propagated.

ए॒वा ते॑ अग्ने विम॒दो म॑नी॒षामूर्जो॑ नपाद॒मृते॑भिः स॒जोषाः॑ । गिर॒ आ व॑क्षत्सुम॒तीरि॑या॒न इष॒मूर्जं॑ सुक्षि॒तिं विश्व॒माभाः॑
evā te agne vimado manīṣāmūrjo napādamṛtebhiḥ sajoṣāḥ gira ā vakṣatsumatīriyāna iṣamūrjaṃ sukṣitiṃ viśvamābhāḥ
Thus, O Agni, the delight of minds, with feet free from deathless ones, you mingle; the mountain spoke, strengthening this impulse, the all-reaching brilliance of the world.
