शा॒स इ॒त्था म॒हाँ अ॑स्यमित्रखा॒दो अद्भु॑तः । न यस्य॑ ह॒न्यते॒ सखा॒ न जीय॑ते॒ कदा॑ च॒न
śāsa itthā mahām̐ asyamitrakhādo adbhutaḥ na yasya hanyate sakhā na jīyate kadā cana
Thus spoke the great, the friendless, wondrous one: whose friend is not slain is never conquered.

स्व॒स्ति॒दा वि॒शस्पति॑र्वृत्र॒हा वि॑मृ॒धो व॒शी । वृषेन्द्रः॑ पु॒र ए॑तु नः सोम॒पा अ॑भयंक॒रः
svastidā viśaspatirvṛtrahā vimṛdho vaśī vṛṣendraḥ pura etu naḥ somapā abhayaṃkaraḥ
Hail to Visaspati, Slayer of Vritra, the powerful, the tamer; may the bull-king come to our town — Soma-pā, bestower of fearlessness.

वि रक्षो॒ वि मृधो॑ जहि॒ वि वृ॒त्रस्य॒ हनू॑ रुज । वि म॒न्युमि॑न्द्र वृत्रहन्न॒मित्र॑स्याभि॒दास॑तः
vi rakṣo vi mṛdho jahi vi vṛtrasya hanū ruja vi manyumindra vṛtrahannamitrasyābhidāsataḥ
O Indra, strike and conquer, shatter the jaw of Vritra; Indra, slayer of Vritra, declare thy might against the foe.

वि न॑ इन्द्र॒ मृधो॑ जहि नी॒चा य॑च्छ पृतन्य॒तः । यो अ॒स्माँ अ॑भि॒दास॒त्यध॑रं गमया॒ तमः॑
vi na indra mṛdho jahi nīcā yaccha pṛtanyataḥ yo asmām̐ abhidāsatyadharaṃ gamayā tamaḥ
Indra, mighty, strike down lowly foes who come from the enemy; he who struck us down, bring him to darkness.

अपे॑न्द्र द्विष॒तो मनोऽप॒ जिज्या॑सतो व॒धम् । वि म॒न्योः शर्म॑ यच्छ॒ वरी॑यो यवया व॒धम्
apendra dviṣato mano'pa jijyāsato vadham vi manyoḥ śarma yaccha varīyo yavayā vadham
May Indra, hating the foe, desire the slaying; let him grant strength and glory, the superior slaying by youthful might.
