अ॒यं दे॒वाय॒ जन्म॑ने॒ स्तोमो॒ विप्रे॑भिरास॒या । अका॑रि रत्न॒धात॑मः
ayaṃ devāya janmane stomo viprebhirāsayā akāri ratnadhātamaḥ
This hymn is for the birth of the god, made by the Brahmanas with songs of praise; he fashioned a wealth-bestowing order.

य इन्द्रा॑य वचो॒युजा॑ तत॒क्षुर्मन॑सा॒ हरी॑ । शमी॑भिर्य॒ज्ञमा॑शत
ya indrāya vacoyujā tatakṣurmanasā harī śamībhiryajñamāśata
He who joined word to Indra, who held eyes and mind—by branches of the Shami tree they performed the sacrifice.

तक्ष॒न्नास॑त्याभ्यां॒ परि॑ज्मानं सु॒खं रथ॑म् । तक्ष॑न्धे॒नुं स॑ब॒र्दुघा॑म्
takṣannāsatyābhyāṃ parijmānaṃ sukhaṃ ratham takṣandhenuṃ sabardughām
May the skilled ones, by those two truthful ones, send the glad chariot all around; may they, like strong bulls, milk (yield) abundant riches.

yuvānā pitarā punaḥ satyamantrā ṛjūyavaḥ ṛbhavo viṣṭyakrata
Young men and fathers, again truthful, with straightforward youthful vigor—may the brave ones stand firm.

saṃ vo madāso agmatendreṇa ca marutvatā ādityebhiśca rājabhiḥ
May they be ours, like the might of Agni and Indra, endowed with Marut-like strength; like Adityas and kings grant us power.

Bring forth for us the new flesh and the maker-crafted boon of the god Tvashtri; the unmaking, the skillful, again (be present).

ते नो॒ रत्ना॑नि धत्तन॒ त्रिरा साप्ता॑नि सुन्व॒ते । एक॑मेकं सुश॒स्तिभिः॑
te no ratnāni dhattana trirā sāptāni sunvate ekamekaṃ suśastibhiḥ
May they grant us treasures threefold, sevenfold, well-attuned; each one apportioned by right-minded ministers.

अधा॑रयन्त॒ वह्न॒योऽभ॑जन्त सुकृ॒त्यया॑ । भा॒गं दे॒वेषु॑ य॒ज्ञिय॑म्
adhārayanta vahnayo'bhajanta sukṛtyayā bhāgaṃ deveṣu yajñiyam
They placed the fires beneath and served them with righteous action; they offered the share of the gods, the sacrificial portion.
