सुस॑मिद्धो न॒ आ व॑ह दे॒वाँ अ॑ग्ने ह॒विष्म॑ते । होतः॑ पावक॒ यक्षि॑ च
susamiddho na ā vaha devām̐ agne haviṣmate hotaḥ pāvaka yakṣi ca
Well-kindled one, bring hither the gods, Agni, to whom the offering is due; O purifier, protective one, come as the sacrificer’s fire.

Make the sweet-scented oblation ample and widespread for the gods, O poet; perform the rite today for the hero.

I praise here the delight of men; invoke the dear ritual in this sacrifice—sweet-tongued, fashioned with the oblation.

agne sukhatame rathe devām̐ īḷita ā vaha asi hotā manurhitaḥ
O Agni, bring the gods to the most blissful chariot; be the priest, worthy of invocation, and the fulfiller of desires.

stṛṇīta barhirānuṣagghṛtapṛṣṭhaṃ manīṣiṇaḥ yatrāmṛtasya cakṣaṇam
May the singers, the thoughtful ones, press the clarified butter on the oblation-place where the eye of immortality is.

Let the abundant immortals and the goddesses send it forth; today indeed we have worshipped.

With night and dawn, with wide-protected rites I call upon the sacrifice: may this oblation come to us.

ता सु॑जि॒ह्वा उप॑ ह्वये॒ होता॑रा॒ दैव्या॑ क॒वी । य॒ज्ञं नो॑ यक्षतामि॒मम्
tā sujihvā upa hvaye hotārā daivyā kavī yajñaṃ no yakṣatāmimam
May those skilled in sacred speech, the divine poets, invoke and make the sacrificer the carrier of the divine—may they guard this sacrifice for us.

इळा॒ सर॑स्वती म॒ही ति॒स्रो दे॒वीर्म॑यो॒भुवः॑ । ब॒र्हिः सी॑दन्त्व॒स्रिधः॑
iḷā sarasvatī mahī tisro devīrmayobhuvaḥ barhiḥ sīdantvasridhaḥ
Ila, Sarasvatī, the three goddesses were upon the earth; may the oblation, O bṛ́hí (singer), settle upon the sacred grass.

इ॒ह त्वष्टा॑रमग्रि॒यं वि॒श्वरू॑प॒मुप॑ ह्वये । अ॒स्माक॑मस्तु॒ केव॑लः
iha tvaṣṭāramagriyaṃ viśvarūpamupa hvaye asmākamastu kevalaḥ
Here, O Tvastar, proclaim the foremost, the all‑formed; be thou the sole protector of us.

O Lord of plants, create this offering; let the sacrifice be given to the gods, to conscious beings.

svāhā yajñaṃ kṛṇotanendrāya yajvano gṛhe tatra devām̐ upa hvaye
Svāhā — make the sacrifice, O Indra, for the worshipper at home; there invoke the gods.
