कह सिव जदपि उचित अस नाहीं। नाथ बचन पुनि मेटि न जाहीं।। सिर धरि आयसु करिअ तुम्हारा। परम धरमु यह नाथ हमारा।। मातु पिता गुर प्रभु कै बानी। बिनहिं बिचार करिअ सुभ जानी।। तुम्ह सब भाँति परम हितकारी। अग्या सिर पर नाथ तुम्हारी।। प्रभु तोषेउ सुनि संकर बचना। भक्ति बिबेक धर्म जुत रचना।। कह प्रभु हर तुम्हार पन रहेऊ। अब उर राखेहु जो हम कहेऊ।। अंतरधान भए अस भाषी। संकर सोइ मूरति उर राखी।। तबहिं सप्तरिषि सिव पहिं आए। बोले प्रभु अति बचन सुहाए।।
kaha siva jadapi ucita asa nāhīṃ. nātha bacana puni mēṭi na jāhīṃ.. sira dhari āyasu karia tumhārā. parama dharamu yaha nātha hamārā.. mātu pitā gura prabhu kai bānī. binahiṃ bicāra karia subha jānī.. tumha saba bhāomti parama hitakārī. agyā sira para nātha tumhārī.. prabhu tōṣēu suni saṃkara bacanā. bhakti bibēka dharma juta racanā.. kaha prabhu hara tumhāra pana rahēū. aba ura rākhēhu jō hama kahēū.. aṃtaradhāna bhaē asa bhāṣī. saṃkara sōi mūrati ura rākhī.. tabahiṃ saptariṣi siva pahiṃ āē. bōlē prabhu ati bacana suhāē..
Siva replied, Although this is hardly justifiable, the words of a master cannot be set aside at the same time. My lord, your command must be respectfully carried out: this is my paramount duty. The words of ones parents, teacher and master must be unquestionably obeyed as conducive to bliss. You are my supreme benefactor in everyway; therefore, my lord, I bow to Your commands. The Lord, was pleased to hear the well-chosen words of Sarkara; which were inspired with devotion, wisdom and piety. The Lord said, Your vow has been kept; now bear in mind what I have told You. Saying so He went out of sight. Sarkara cherished the impression of the vision in His heart. That very moment the seven sages called on Siva. The Lord spoke to them in most charming accents: (1-4)

Now, Siva, if You have any affection for Me, listen to My appeal. Go and marry Sailaj (the daughter of Himcala): grant this boon to Me. (76)
