Prapatti — Sharanagati (Total Surrender)

प्रपत्तिः शरणागतिः

The doctrine of Prapatti (Sharanagati) — total surrender to Vishnu as the sole means of liberation. Six limbs of Prapatti: (1) Anukula-sankalpa — resolve to please God; (2) Pratikula-varjana — avoiding what displeases God; (3) Mahavishvasa — absolute faith in God's protection; (4) Goptritve varanam — choosing God as protector; (5) Atma-niksepa — complete self-surrender; (6) Karpanya — humility. Foundational to Sri Vaishnavism (Ramanuja tradition).
