Nārada Smṛti
नारदस्मृतिः
The Nārada Smṛti, attributed to the sage Nārada, is a specialized Dharmaśāstra text focused almost entirely on civil law and judicial procedure (vyavahāra). Composed around 100–400 CE, it is the most juridical of all the Smṛtis, dealing systematically with the eighteen grounds of legal dispute (vyavahāra-padas) — contracts, deposits, wages, boundaries, property, debt, marriage, inheritance, assault, gambling, and more. It is especially valuable for its procedural details on courts and witnesses.
