श्रीभगवानुवाच इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे। ज्ञानविज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्॥
The great one said I shall now speak to you, O evilless one. all that mysterious knowledge, along with experience, by knowing which you will be freed from evil.

राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम्। प्रत्यक्षावगमं धर्म्यं सुसुखं कर्तुमव्ययम्॥
It is the chief science and the chief mystery; it is the chief means of purification. It is consistent with the sacred laws, easy to practice, directly apprehensible, and imperishable.

अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परंतप। अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि॥
Those men, O terror of foes, who have no faith in this sacred doctrine, return to this mortal world without attaining to Me.

This whole universe is pervaded by Me in My unmanifested form. All things live in it.

न च मत्स्थानि भूतानि पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम्। भूतभृन्न च भूतस्थो ममात्मा भूतभावनः॥
And again all things are not in Me. See my divine power. Supporting all entities and producing all entities, My Self does not live in those entities.

यथाऽऽकाशस्थितो नित्यं वायुः सर्वत्रगो महान्। तथा सर्वाणि भूतानि मत्स्थानीत्युपधारय॥
As the great and ubiquitous atmosphere (without tainting) live, occupying space, so similarly all things live in Me.

सर्वभूतानि कौन्तेय प्रकृतिं यान्ति मामिकाम्। कल्पक्षये पुनस्तानि कल्पादौ विसृजाम्यहम्॥
All entities, O son of Kunti,, attain to My nature at the end of a Kalpa. And again at the beginning of a Kalpa I bring them forth.

प्रकृति स्वामवष्टभ्य विसृजामि पुनः पुनः। भूतग्राममिमं कृत्स्नमवशं प्रकृतेर्वशात्॥
Controlling My Nature Myself, I bring forth again, and again this whole assemblage of entities, which has no will of its own.

न च मां तानि कर्माणि निबध्नन्ति धनंजय। उदासीनवदासीनमसक्तं तेषु कर्मसु॥
But, Arjuna, these acts of mine do not fetter me, I sit like one unconcerned and unattached to those actions.

मयाध्यक्षेण प्रकृतिः सूयते सचराचरम्। हेतुनानेन कौन्तेय जगद् विपरिवर्तते॥
Through Me, the supervisor, primal Nature produces all movable and unmovable. Thus, O son of Kunti, the universe revolves.

अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम्। परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम्॥ मोघाशा मोघकर्माणो मोघज्ञाना विचेतसः। राक्षसीमासुरीं चैव प्रकृति मोहिनीं श्रिताः॥
Not knowing My supreme Nature, the deluded people of vain hopes, vain acts, vain knowledge, of confounded minds, of the delusive nature of Asuris and Rakshasas, disregard Me as I have assumed a human body.

महात्मानस्तु मां पार्थ दैवी प्रकृतिमाश्रिताः। भजन्त्यनन्यमनसो ज्ञात्वा भूतादिमव्ययम्॥
but high-souled and divine-natured devotees,, O Partha, knowing Me as the origin of all things, worship Me with minds directed to nothingelse.

सततं कीर्तयन्तो मां यतन्तश्च दृढव्रताः। नमस्यन्तश्च मां भक्त्या नित्ययुक्ता उपासते॥
Always glorifying Me, exerting themselves with firm vows, bowing down to Me with reverence, being always devoted to Me they worship Me.

ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्यन्ये यजन्तो मामुपासते। एकत्वेन पृथक्त्वेन बहुधा विश्वतोमुखम्॥
Others again, performing the Sacrifice of knowledge, worship Me as one, as distinct, as pervading the universe in many forms

अहं क्रतुरहं यज्ञः स्वधाऽहमहमौषधम्। मन्त्रोऽहमहमेवाज्यमहमग्निरहं हुतम्॥
I am the Vedic Sacrifice, I am the Sacrifice laid down in the Smriti, I am the Sabda (mantra) I am the sacrificial libation; I am the fire; I am the offering.

पिताहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः। वेद्यं पवित्रमोंकार ऋक् साम यजुरेव च॥
I am the Father of the universe, its Mother, its Creator, its Grandsire. I am the Thing to be known, and the Means by which every thing is purified. I am the Om, the Rik, Saman and Yajus (Vedas).

गतिर्भर्ता प्रभुः साक्षी निवासः शरणं सुहृत्। प्रभवः प्रलयः स्थानं निधानं बीजमव्ययम्॥
I am the goal, the supporter, the lord, the on-looker, the asylum, the friend, the source, the support, the receptacle and the imperishable। seed.

तपाम्यहमहं वर्ष निगृह्णम्युत्सृजामि च। अमृतं चैव मृत्युश्च सदसच्चाहमर्जुन॥
I produce heat; I produce and stop showers. I am immortality, and I am also death. I am, O Arjuna, that which exists and which does not exist.

ते विद्या मां सोमपाः पूतपापा यज्ञैरिष्ट्वा स्वर्गतिं प्रार्थयन्ते। मश्नन्ति दिव्यान् दिवि देवभोगान्॥२०
Those, who know the three knowledge, who drink the Soma juice, who offer sacrifices, and whose sins are washed away, seek admission into . heaven. Reaching the holy world of the lord of the celestial, they enjoy the celestial pleasures of the gods in the celestial world.

ते तं भुक्त्वा स्वर्गलोकं विशालं क्षीणे पुण्ये मर्त्यलोकं विशन्ति। एवं त्रयीधर्ममनुप्रपन्ना गतागतं कामकामा लभन्ते॥
And having enjoyed the pleasures of the extensive heaven, when their merit is exhausted, they again enter into the mortal world. Those that wish for the objects of desire, and act according to the doctrines of these Vedas, obtain going and coming (births and deaths).

अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते। तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्॥
I give new gifts to those men, and preserve those that have been already acquired, who worship Me, mediating on Me and who are constantly devoted to Me.

येऽप्यन्यदेवता भक्ता यजन्ते श्रद्धयाऽन्विता। तेऽपि मामेव कौन्तेय यजन्त्यविधिपूर्वकम्॥
Even those, O son of Kunti, who endued with faith, worship other gods, worship Me thought not in the regular way.

अहं हि सर्वयज्ञानां भोक्ता च प्रभुरेव च। न तु मामभिजानन्ति तत्त्वेनातश्च्यवन्ति ते॥
For I am the enjoyer, as well as the giver of fruits of all sacrifices. But they do not know Me truly, and therefore they fall from heaven,.

यान्ति देवव्रता देवान् पितॄन् यान्ति पितृव्रताः। भूतानि यान्ति भूतेज्या यान्ति मद्याजिनोऽपि माम्॥
Those who worship the Pitris, go to the Pitris, those who worship the Bhutas, go to the Bhutas, but those who worship Me, come to Me.

पत्र पुष्पं फलं तोयं यो मे भक्त्या प्रयच्छति। तदहं भक्त्युपहृतमश्नामि प्रयतात्मनः॥
I accept leaf, flowers, fruits, water, from him who is pure, and who with faith offers them to Me, if they are presented with devotion.

यत् करोषि यदश्नासि यज्जुहोषि ददासि यत्। यत्तपस्यसि कौन्तेय तत् कुरुष्वं मदर्पणम्॥
Whatever you do, O son of Kunti, whatever you eat, whatever you sacrifice, whatever you give, whatever penance you perform, do it in a way which may be an offering to Me.

शुभाशुभफलैरेवं मोक्ष्यसे कर्मबन्धनैः। संन्यासयोगयुक्तात्मा विमुक्तो मामुपैष्यसि॥
Thus will you be freed from the bonds of action, the fruits of which are both good and bad. With your self endued with renunciation and devotion, you will be freed (from the laws of rebirth), and you will come to Me.

समोऽहं सर्वभूतेषु न मे द्वेष्योऽस्ति न प्रियः। ये भजन्ति तु मां भक्त्या मयि ते तेषु चाप्यहम्॥
I am alike to all beings. No one is hateful, none is dear to Me. In whatever way they worship, if they worship with reverence, they are in Me, and I am in them.

अपि चेत् सुदुराचारो भजते मामनन्यभाक्। साधुरेव स मन्तव्यः सम्यग्व्यवसितो हि सः॥
If even an exceedingly wicked man worship Me, without worshipping any one else, he should certainly be regarded as a good (man), for his efforts are well-directed.

क्षिप्रं भवति धर्मात्मा शश्वच्छान्तिं निगच्छति। कौन्तेय प्रति जानीहि न मे भक्तः प्रणश्यति॥
Such a man soon becomes devout and virtuous minded, and attains eternal peace. Learn, O son of Kunti, he who is devoted to Me, is never lost.

मां हि पार्थ व्यपाश्रित्य येऽपि स्युः पापयोनयः। स्तेऽपि यान्ति परां गतिम्॥
Even those persons, Partha, who are of sinful birth, who are women, Vaishyas or Shudras, attain to the supreme goal, if they come to Me..
Bhishma Parva 34.32

किं पुनर्ब्राह्मणाः पुण्या भक्ता राजर्षयस्तथा। अनित्यमसुखं लोकमिमं प्राप्य भजस्व माम्॥
What then should I speak of holy Brahmins and royal sages who are my devotees? Having come to this miserable and mortal world, O Partha, worship Me.
Bhishma Parva 34.33

मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु। मामेवैष्यसि युक्त्वैवमात्मानं मत्परायणः॥
Fix your mind on Me, become My worshipper, become My devotee, bow to Me. Thus making Me your goal, and devoting yourself to obstruction, you will certainly come to Me.
