Roga Nivarna Suktam
The Roga Nivarna Suktam (Hymn for the Removal of Disease) comprises two suktas from the first Kanda of the Atharvaveda Shaunaka Samhita. Sukta 12 invokes the healing forces of nature — the life-giving rain, the thunder, and the cosmic physician — to remove ailments from every limb, cure headache, cough, and fever, and bestow peace upon the whole body. Sukta 13 offers salutations to Lightning, Thunder, and the Thunderstone as protectors who strike down disease and evil, and prays for mercy upon the body and welfare of one's offspring. These two suktas are recited for healing, protection from illness, and overall bodily wellness.

That arrow which all the gods fashioned for you, making it bold for the hurling — may she, being praised in the assembly, be gracious to us; to that arrow of yours, salutation.
