ए॒ते धा॑व॒न्तीन्द॑वः॒ सोमा॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ घृष्व॑यः । म॒त्स॒रासः॑ स्व॒र्विदः॑
ete dhāvantīndavaḥ somā indrāya ghṛṣvayaḥ matsarāsaḥ svarvidaḥ
These running drops of Soma are like Indra’s anointing fats; they are possessors of rivalry and heavenly knowledge.

प्र॒वृ॒ण्वन्तो॑ अभि॒युजः॒ सुष्व॑ये वरिवो॒विदः॑ । स्व॒यं स्तो॒त्रे व॑य॒स्कृतः॑
pravṛṇvanto abhiyujaḥ suṣvaye varivovidaḥ svayaṃ stotre vayaskṛtaḥ
They moved, harnessed, to the draught‑bestowing ones, offering good fortune; self‑made in the hymn they were fashioned.

vṛthā krīḷanta indavaḥ sadhasthamabhyekamit sindhorūrmā vyakṣaran
Vainly the drops sported: one surged and burst forth; they declared the current of the Sindhu.

ए॒ते विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॒ पव॑मानास आशत । हि॒ता न सप्त॑यो॒ रथे॑

These were all the waters, the purifying breezes, moving; the seven chariots benefited not in vain.

I am the drink‑bearing Indra who set forth the drops, spreading the vessel’s fame to us.

ṛbhurna rathyaṃ navaṃ dadhātā ketamādiśe śukrāḥ pavadhvamarṇasā
The skillful did not place a new chariot of the Ribhu; bright ones appointed by the sea‑spray and white noise.

eta u tye avīvaśankāṣṭhāṃ vājino akrata sataḥ prāsāviṣurmatim
They announced the timber of the chariot‑teams, the swift‑moving oxen, unbrought — the measure pours forth in channels.
