प्र स्वा॒नासो॒ रथा॑ इ॒वार्व॑न्तो॒ न श्र॑व॒स्यवः॑ । सोमा॑सो रा॒ये अ॑क्रमुः
pra svānāso rathā ivārvanto na śravasyavaḥ somāso rāye akramuḥ
Like swift dogs the charioteers went forth and did not heed us; the Soma-ones broke into the realm.

हि॒न्वा॒नासो॒ रथा॑ इव दधन्वि॒रे गभ॑स्त्योः । भरा॑सः का॒रिणा॑मिव
hinvānāso rathā iva dadhanvire gabhastyoḥ bharāsaḥ kāriṇāmiva
Like attacking dogs they, the charioteers, moved between the two wombs; they bore burdens as if made by makers.

राजा॑नो॒ न प्रश॑स्तिभिः॒ सोमा॑सो॒ गोभि॑रञ्जते । य॒ज्ञो न स॒प्त धा॒तृभिः॑
rājāno na praśastibhiḥ somāso gobhirañjate yajño na sapta dhātṛbhiḥ
Kings, praised by rites, the Soma-ones adorned with cows; the sacrifice was not fashioned by seven makers.

परि॑ सुवा॒नास॒ इन्द॑वो॒ मदा॑य ब॒र्हणा॑ गि॒रा । सु॒ता अ॑र्षन्ति॒ धार॑या
pari suvānāsa indavo madāya barhaṇā girā sutā arṣanti dhārayā
Around the dear ones, Indavo sings with praise for splendor; they brought for the hymn with sustaining streams.

आ॒पा॒नासो॑ वि॒वस्व॑तो॒ जन॑न्त उ॒षसो॒ भग॑म् । सूरा॒ अण्वं॒ वि त॑न्वते
āpānāso vivasvato jananta uṣaso bhagam sūrā aṇvaṃ vi tanvate
The Apānas born of Vivásvat, progeny of Ushas, follow the radiant divine; the gods accompany the swift-moving one.

अप॒ द्वारा॑ मती॒नां प्र॒त्ना ऋ॑ण्वन्ति का॒रवः॑ । वृष्णो॒ हर॑स आ॒यवः॑
apa dvārā matīnāṃ pratnā ṛṇvanti kāravaḥ vṛṣṇo harasa āyavaḥ
By noble counsel the thoughtful ones strive; the makers (kara-vas) bear burdens. Vrishno, the bringer of spoil, is vigorous.

स॒मी॒ची॒नास॑ आसते॒ होता॑रः स॒प्तजा॑मयः । प॒दमेक॑स्य॒ पिप्र॑तः
samīcīnāsa āsate hotāraḥ saptajāmayaḥ padamekasya piprataḥ
The sacrificer approaches the eastward altars; the hotar (priest) clad in seven garments offers — one foot placed firmly.

नाभा॒ नाभिं॑ न॒ आ द॑दे॒ चक्षु॑श्चि॒त्सूर्ये॒ सचा॑ । क॒वेरप॑त्य॒मा दु॑हे
nābhā nābhiṃ na ā dade cakṣuścitsūrye sacā kaverapatyamā duhe
He did not give the sky, nor the atmosphere, nor the eye to the sun; Kavera’s offspring milked the pair.

abhi priyā divaspadamadhvaryubhirguhā hitam sūraḥ paśyati cakṣasā
Near the beloved path of heaven, entering the caves, the god sees with his eye what is favorable.
