गौर्ध॑यति म॒रुतां॑ श्रव॒स्युर्मा॒ता म॒घोना॑म् । यु॒क्ता वह्नी॒ रथा॑नाम्
gaurdhayati marutāṃ śravasyurmātā maghonām yuktā vahnī rathānām
The Maruts lift up like cows the mothers of splendour; the fire is yoked to the chariots.

यस्या॑ दे॒वा उ॒पस्थे॑ व्र॒ता विश्वे॑ धा॒रय॑न्ते । सूर्या॒मासा॑ दृ॒शे कम्
yasyā devā upasthe vratā viśve dhārayante sūryāmāsā dṛśe kam
Where the gods stand present, there the ordinances hold all; what did Surya see there?

तत्सु नो॒ विश्वे॑ अ॒र्य आ सदा॑ गृणन्ति का॒रवः॑ । म॒रुतः॒ सोम॑पीतये
tatsu no viśve arya ā sadā gṛṇanti kāravaḥ marutaḥ somapītaye
Those who sing always praise us; the Maruts drink Soma.

अस्ति॒ सोमो॑ अ॒यं सु॒तः पिब॑न्त्यस्य म॒रुतः॑ । उ॒त स्व॒राजो॑ अ॒श्विना॑
asti somo ayaṃ sutaḥ pibantyasya marutaḥ uta svarājo aśvinā
This Soma is indeed his, the Maruts drink it; or the Ashvins are the possessors of sovereignty.

पिब॑न्ति मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा तना॑ पू॒तस्य॒ वरु॑णः । त्रि॒ष॒ध॒स्थस्य॒ जाव॑तः
pibanti mitro aryamā tanā pūtasya varuṇaḥ triṣadhasthasya jāvataḥ
Mitra and Aryaman drink, Varuna endows the purified one; from the threefold abode of the born ones.

uto nvasya joṣamām̐ indraḥ sutasya gomataḥ prātarhoteva matsati
Indeed at his strength Indra rejoices for the drink of the cow; he proceeds as morning priest in devotion.

कद॑त्विषन्त सू॒रय॑स्ति॒र आप॑ इव॒ स्रिधः॑ । अर्ष॑न्ति पू॒तद॑क्षसः
kadatviṣanta sūrayastira āpa iva sridhaḥ arṣanti pūtadakṣasaḥ
When indeed the suns rush forth like streams, they plunder wealth like heroes, the skilled in offering.

कद्वो॑ अ॒द्य म॒हानां॑ दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ वृणे । त्मना॑ च द॒स्मव॑र्चसाम्
kadvo adya mahānāṃ devānāmavo vṛṇe tmanā ca dasmavarcasām
Now have I sought the great ones among the gods, and with that I seek the splendour of the staff-bearing ones.

आ ये विश्वा॒ पार्थि॑वानि प॒प्रथ॑न्रोच॒ना दि॒वः । म॒रुतः॒ सोम॑पीतये
ā ye viśvā pārthivāni paprathanrocanā divaḥ marutaḥ somapītaye
They who encompassed all earthly beings invoked brightness like heaven; the Maruts drink Soma.

त्यान्नु पू॒तद॑क्षसो दि॒वो वो॑ मरुतो हुवे । अ॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑
tyānnu pūtadakṣaso divo vo maruto huve asya somasya pītaye
Therefore the pure-skilled offered to the heaven these offerings for the Marut's drinking of this Soma.

त्यान्नु ये वि रोद॑सी तस्त॒भुर्म॒रुतो॑ हुवे । अ॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑
tyānnu ye vi rodasī tastabhurmaruto huve asya somasya pītaye
Therefore those who flow with tears the Marut invoked; for the drinking of this Soma.

त्यं नु मारु॑तं ग॒णं गि॑रि॒ष्ठां वृष॑णं हुवे । अ॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑
tyaṃ nu mārutaṃ gaṇaṃ giriṣṭhāṃ vṛṣaṇaṃ huve asya somasya pītaye
I invoke now the Marut tribe, mountain-high, vigorous in strength; for the drinking of this Soma.
