दे॒वाना॒मिदवो॑ म॒हत्तदा वृ॑णीमहे व॒यम् । वृष्णा॑म॒स्मभ्य॑मू॒तये॑
devānāmidavo mahattadā vṛṇīmahe vayam vṛṣṇāmasmabhyamūtaye
This day of the gods we chose great, for the strengthening of our Vrṣṇis, for our uplift.

ते नः॑ सन्तु॒ युजः॒ सदा॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा । वृ॒धास॑श्च॒ प्रचे॑तसः
te naḥ santu yujaḥ sadā varuṇo mitro aryamā vṛdhāsaśca pracetasaḥ
May they be for us—Yuja, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman—mighty, increasing, of clear understanding.

अति॑ नो विष्पि॒ता पु॒रु नौ॒भिर॒पो न प॑र्षथ । यू॒यमृ॒तस्य॑ रथ्यः
ati no viṣpitā puru naubhirapo na parṣatha yūyamṛtasya rathyaḥ
May none pour poison upon us, nor the waters harm us; you are charioteers of immortality.

वा॒मं नो॑ अस्त्वर्यमन्वा॒मं व॑रुण॒ शंस्य॑म् । वा॒मं ह्या॑वृणी॒महे॑
vāmaṃ no astvaryamanvāmaṃ varuṇa śaṃsyam vāmaṃ hyāvṛṇīmahe
May the left (power) be ours, may Varuṇa praise the left; may we call upon the left.

वा॒मस्य॒ हि प्र॑चेतस॒ ईशा॑नाशो रिशादसः । नेमा॑दित्या अ॒घस्य॒ यत्
vāmasya hi pracetasa īśānāśo riśādasaḥ nemādityā aghasya yat
For from the left come the ruling thoughts, the lords of prosperity, not the sun’s harmful force.

व॒यमिद्वः॑ सुदानवः क्षि॒यन्तो॒ यान्तो॒ अध्व॒न्ना । देवा॑ वृ॒धाय॑ हूमहे
vayamidvaḥ sudānavaḥ kṣiyanto yānto adhvannā devā vṛdhāya hūmahe
We, your generous ones, as we diminish, go on the way; O gods, we invoke growth by the oblation.

अधि॑ न इन्द्रैषां॒ विष्णो॑ सजा॒त्या॑नाम् । इ॒ता मरु॑तो॒ अश्वि॑ना
adhi na indraiṣāṃ viṣṇo sajātyānām itā maruto aśvinā
Above them is not Indra nor Vishnu among the kin; these are Maruts and the Ashvins.

प्र भ्रा॑तृ॒त्वं सु॑दान॒वोऽध॑ द्वि॒ता स॑मा॒न्या । मा॒तुर्गर्भे॑ भरामहे
pra bhrātṛtvaṃ sudānavo'dha dvitā samānyā māturgarbhe bharāmahe
Brothers, the generous ones are twain beneath; we fill the mother’s womb.

यू॒यं हि ष्ठा सु॑दानव॒ इन्द्र॑ज्येष्ठा अ॒भिद्य॑वः । अधा॑ चिद्व उ॒त ब्रु॑वे
yūyaṃ hi ṣṭhā sudānava indrajyeṣṭhā abhidyavaḥ adhā cidva uta bruve
You indeed are the strongest generous ones, elders among gods; below I also speak thus.
