उ॒प॒मं त्वा॑ म॒घोनां॒ ज्येष्ठं॑ च वृष॒भाणा॑म् । पू॒र्भित्त॑मं मघवन्निन्द्र गो॒विद॒मीशा॑नं रा॒य ई॑महे
upamaṃ tvā maghonāṃ jyeṣṭhaṃ ca vṛṣabhāṇām pūrbhittamaṃ maghavannindra govidamīśānaṃ rāya īmahe
I liken thee to the chief of heroes, the mightiest of bulls. To thee, foremost giver, Indra, lord of kine and of chieftains, we call.

य आ॒युं कुत्स॑मतिथि॒ग्वमर्द॑यो वावृधा॒नो दि॒वेदि॑वे । तं त्वा॑ व॒यं हर्य॑श्वं श॒तक्र॑तुं वाज॒यन्तो॑ हवामहे
ya āyuṃ kutsamatithigvamardayo vāvṛdhāno divedive taṃ tvā vayaṃ haryaśvaṃ śatakratuṃ vājayanto havāmahe
Whoever defamed life, the host, the diviners, the strong, on that day we invoked thee, O hero; we, desirous, propitiating, offered the hundred-rited prayer.

आ नो॒ विश्वे॑षां॒ रसं॒ मध्वः॑ सिञ्च॒न्त्वद्र॑यः । ये प॑रा॒वति॑ सुन्वि॒रे जने॒ष्वा ये अ॑र्वा॒वतीन्द॑वः
ā no viśveṣāṃ rasaṃ madhvaḥ siñcantvadrayaḥ ye parāvati sunvire janeṣvā ye arvāvatīndavaḥ
Pour forth for us the sweets of all, O givers; ye who bring great streams to men, ye who send forth the lively Indavah.

विश्वा॒ द्वेषां॑सि ज॒हि चाव॒ चा कृ॑धि॒ विश्वे॑ सन्व॒न्त्वा वसु॑ । शीष्टे॑षु चित्ते मदि॒रासो॑ अं॒शवो॒ यत्रा॒ सोम॑स्य तृ॒म्पसि॑
viśvā dveṣāṃsi jahi cāva cā kṛdhi viśve sanvantvā vasu śīṣṭeṣu citte madirāso aṃśavo yatrā somasya tṛmpasi
Destroy the foes, O Vasus; strike down all hostility and unite the prosperous. Where the parts of Soma delight, there let the draughts of bliss be.

इन्द्र॒ नेदी॑य॒ एदि॑हि मि॒तमे॑धाभिरू॒तिभिः॑ । आ शं॑तम॒ शंत॑माभिर॒भिष्टि॑भि॒रा स्वा॑पे स्वा॒पिभिः॑
indra nedīya edihi mitamedhābhirūtibhiḥ ā śaṃtama śaṃtamābhirabhiṣṭibhirā svāpe svāpibhiḥ
Indra, smite with measured might the resistless ones, with acts of splendour. Grant peace, the peaceful, with blessers and with dream and sleepers.

आ॒जि॒तुरं॒ सत्प॑तिं वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिं कृ॒धि प्र॒जास्वाभ॑गम् । प्र सू ति॑रा॒ शची॑भि॒र्ये त॑ उ॒क्थिनः॒ क्रतुं॑ पुन॒त आ॑नु॒षक्
ājituraṃ satpatiṃ viśvacarṣaṇiṃ kṛdhi prajāsvābhagam pra sū tirā śacībhirye ta ukthinaḥ kratuṃ punata ānuṣak
Propound vigor, bring forth the prosperous lord, the universal striker; rouse the peoples to their portions. Let the singers of song renew the rite and the sacred power.

यस्ते॒ साधि॒ष्ठोऽव॑से॒ ते स्या॑म॒ भरे॑षु ते । व॒यं होत्रा॑भिरु॒त दे॒वहू॑तिभिः सस॒वांसो॑ मनामहे
yaste sādhiṣṭho'vase te syāma bhareṣu te vayaṃ hotrābhiruta devahūtibhiḥ sasavāṃso manāmahe
Whoever rules are established for you, may we be with your supporters in the offerings. We, priests, invoking with divine oblations, call down the beneficial ones and cherish the thought.

अ॒हं हि ते॑ हरिवो॒ ब्रह्म॑ वाज॒युरा॒जिं यामि॒ सदो॒तिभिः॑ । त्वामिदे॒व तममे॒ सम॑श्व॒युर्ग॒व्युरग्रे॑ मथी॒नाम्
ahaṃ hi te harivo brahma vājayurājiṃ yāmi sadotibhiḥ tvāmideva tamame samaśvayurgavyuragre mathīnām
Truly I, a priest, bring the sacred soma-offering, the royal chant in the assemblies. These tameless ones I set before thee: oxen, kine, the foremost of herds.
