त्वम॑ग्ने बृ॒हद्वयो॒ दधा॑सि देव दा॒शुषे॑ । क॒विर्गृ॒हप॑ति॒र्युवा॑
tvamagne bṛhadvayo dadhāsi deva dāśuṣe kavirgṛhapatiryuvā
You, Agni, have given the mighty prize, O god, to the servants. The sage, lord of the house, is youthful.

स न॒ ईळा॑नया स॒ह दे॒वाँ अ॑ग्ने दुव॒स्युवा॑ । चि॒किद्वि॑भान॒वा व॑ह
sa na īḷānayā saha devām̐ agne duvasyuvā cikidvibhānavā vaha
He with the offering of cakes, along with the gods, O Agni, made them easy; he, skillful in service, carried praise.

tvayā ha svidyujā vayaṃ codiṣṭhena yaviṣṭhya abhi ṣmo vājasātaye
By you, the swift team was set in motion; when called, we proceeded. May the strength of the sacrifice support us.

aurvabhṛguvacchucimapnavānavadā huve agniṃ samudravāsasam
The Orvashas, Bhrigus, having obtained purity, came near; I invoked Agni, dwelling by the ocean.

huve vātasvanaṃ kaviṃ parjanyakrandyaṃ sahaḥ agniṃ samudravāsasam
I called the wind-born, the poet Pṛjanya, with his cry; I invoked Agni, dwelling by the ocean.

I invoked the assembly of Savitar thus, as of a lord, raising the arm; I invoked Agni, dwelling by the ocean.

agniṃ vo vṛdhantamadhvarāṇāṃ purūtamam acchā naptre sahasvate
May Agni, increasing for you, go foremost among the paths; may he sit with the excellent in the sacred vessel.

अ॒यं यथा॑ न आ॒भुव॒त्त्वष्टा॑ रू॒पेव॒ तक्ष्या॑ । अ॒स्य क्रत्वा॒ यश॑स्वतः
ayaṃ yathā na ābhuvattvaṣṭā rūpeva takṣyā asya kratvā yaśasvataḥ
Just as this one did not become eightfold in form, so has his glorious deed been made.

ayaṃ viśvā abhi śriyo'gnirdeveṣu patyate ā vājairupa no gamat
This Agni, lord of the gods, encompasses all riches; may he come to us with auspicious powers.

I praise for all the priests the greatest fame: Agni, foremost among sacrifices.

O elder, the fiery purifier, giver of noble hearing; grant the long-heard (renown).

tamarvantaṃ na sānasiṃ gṛṇīhi vipra śuṣmiṇam mitraṃ na yātayajjanam
Do not deem that man arrogant who is not boastful; let not the wise take the sting from Mitra.

He, offered sacred speech and libation, stood like a pillar of the winds.

yasya tridhātvavṛtaṃ barhistasthāvasaṃdinam āpaścinni dadhā padam
He whose threefold nature is wrapped, the venerable bard who steadies the place: place the waters, give the settled foot.

padaṃ devasya mīḷhuṣo'nādhṛṣṭābhirūtibhiḥ bhadrā sūrya ivopadṛk
Firm be the seat of the god, protected by unwronged ones and honored like the radiant sun.

agne ghṛtasya dhītibhistepāno deva śociṣā ā devānvakṣi yakṣi ca
Agni, of clarified butter and steadfast minds, drink, O god of offerings; accept both gods and worship.

Maatar (the mothers) begot him; Angiras the seer praises the god-singer; I carry the mortal oblation-bearer.

pracetasaṃ tvā kave'gne dūtaṃ vareṇyam havyavāhaṃ ni ṣedire
O Agni, the wise sent you as an envoy, most excellent; I, the oblation-bearer, have delivered (it).

There is no slayer of mine, no rebuke follows me; yet thus I bear this burden for you.

What pieces of wood, O Agni, you kindled and set ablaze—drink those; be satisfied and remain.

यदत्त्यु॑प॒जिह्वि॑का॒ यद्व॒म्रो अ॑ति॒सर्प॑ति । सर्वं॒ तद॑स्तु ते घृ॒तम्
yadattyupajihvikā yadvamro atisarpati sarvaṃ tadastu te ghṛtam
Whatever tongue, whatever voice you offered, whatever throat has overflowed—let all that be your clarified butter.

अ॒ग्निमिन्धा॑नो॒ मन॑सा॒ धियं॑ सचेत॒ मर्त्यः॑ । अ॒ग्निमी॑धे वि॒वस्व॑भिः
agnimindhāno manasā dhiyaṃ saceta martyaḥ agnimīdhe vivasvabhiḥ
Agni, first among men in sacrifice, with mind and understanding; Agni honored by the shining ones.
