शंसा॑ म॒हामिन्द्रं॒ यस्मि॒न्विश्वा॒ आ कृ॒ष्टयः॑ सोम॒पाः काम॒मव्य॑न् । यं सु॒क्रतुं॑ धि॒षणे॑ विभ्वत॒ष्टं घ॒नं वृ॒त्राणां॑ ज॒नय॑न्त दे॒वाः
śaṃsā mahāmindraṃ yasminviśvā ā kṛṣṭayaḥ somapāḥ kāmamavyan yaṃ sukratuṃ dhiṣaṇe vibhvataṣṭaṃ ghanaṃ vṛtrāṇāṃ janayanta devāḥ
Praise that great Indra by whom all Soma-drinkers were drawn together; by whose noble deed the thunder was widely struck—gods begot the mighty cloud of Vritra’s birth.

यं नु नकिः॒ पृत॑नासु स्व॒राजं॑ द्वि॒ता तर॑ति॒ नृत॑मं हरि॒ष्ठाम् । इ॒नत॑मः॒ सत्व॑भि॒र्यो ह॑ शू॒षैः पृ॑थु॒ज्रया॑ अमिना॒दायु॒र्दस्योः॑
yaṃ nu nakiḥ pṛtanāsu svarājaṃ dvitā tarati nṛtamaṃ hariṣṭhām inatamaḥ satvabhiryo ha śūṣaiḥ pṛthujrayā aminādāyurdasyoḥ
Which yet in assemblies brings delight among men: this strength passes through the twofold rule, conquering the festival’s course. These men, pressed by the bands, with dry harness and broad cry bring life to the twin hosts of the plain.

स॒हावा॑ पृ॒त्सु त॒रणि॒र्नार्वा॑ व्यान॒शी रोद॑सी मे॒हना॑वान् । भगो॒ न का॒रे हव्यो॑ मती॒नां पि॒तेव॒ चारुः॑ सु॒हवो॑ वयो॒धाः
sahāvā pṛtsu taraṇirnārvā vyānaśī rodasī mehanāvān bhago na kāre havyo matīnāṃ piteva cāruḥ suhavo vayodhāḥ
May companions on the breast, like boats crossing, with swelling tears and rainy bounty, bring thee, O Bull among men; may riches, like fathers, offer fair spoils, youthful, lovely, brave.

ध॒र्ता दि॒वो रज॑सस्पृ॒ष्ट ऊ॒र्ध्वो रथो॒ न वा॒युर्वसु॑भिर्नि॒युत्वा॑न् । क्ष॒पां व॒स्ता ज॑नि॒ता सूर्य॑स्य॒ विभ॑क्ता भा॒गं धि॒षणे॑व॒ वाज॑म्
dhartā divo rajasaspṛṣṭa ūrdhvo ratho na vāyurvasubhirniyutvān kṣapāṃ vastā janitā sūryasya vibhaktā bhāgaṃ dhiṣaṇeva vājam
The bearer of heaven, touched by its dust, the lofty chariot — not the wind — sets treasures in order; he who fashioned the regions made known the divided share of the sun, and measured out the strength of the kine.

शु॒नं हु॑वेम म॒घवा॑न॒मिन्द्र॑म॒स्मिन्भरे॒ नृत॑मं॒ वाज॑सातौ । शृ॒ण्वन्त॑मु॒ग्रमू॒तये॑ स॒मत्सु॒ घ्नन्तं॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ सं॒जितं॒ धना॑नाम्
śunaṃ huvema maghavānamindramasminbhare nṛtamaṃ vājasātau śaṛṇvantamugramūtaye samatsu ghnantaṃ vṛtrāṇi saṃjitaṃ dhanānām
We invoke the generous Indra here, filling with song the two streams of praise; hear, mighty ones, the terrible roar that smites Vṛtra and seizes the wealth of men.
