वार्त्र॑हत्याय॒ शव॑से पृतना॒षाह्या॑य च । इन्द्र॒ त्वा व॑र्तयामसि
vārtrahatyāya śavase pṛtanāṣāhyāya ca indra tvā vartayāmasi
For the slaying of Vritra, for the spoil, for the anxious vow—I attend to thee, O Indra.

अ॒र्वा॒चीनं॒ सु ते॒ मन॑ उ॒त चक्षुः॑ शतक्रतो । इन्द्र॑ कृ॒ण्वन्तु॑ वा॒घतः॑
arvācīnaṃ su te mana uta cakṣuḥ śatakrato indra kṛṇvantu vāghataḥ
May the swift‑speaking hundred‑resolute ones be formed for thee, O Indra; may they make thee a discerner among the battle hosts.

नामा॑नि ते शतक्रतो॒ विश्वा॑भिर्गी॒र्भिरी॑महे । इन्द्रा॑भिमाति॒षाह्ये॑
nāmāni te śatakrato viśvābhirgīrbhirīmahe indrābhimātiṣāhye
Thy names, O hundred‑resolved, we hymn with worldly choirs and mighty songs. O Indra, be thou praiseworthy to us.

पु॒रु॒ष्टु॒तस्य॒ धाम॑भिः श॒तेन॑ महयामसि । इन्द्र॑स्य चर्षणी॒धृतः॑
puruṣṭutasya dhāmabhiḥ śatena mahayāmasi indrasya carṣaṇīdhṛtaḥ
With the stations of the manliest hosts I magnify thee a hundredfold. Indra, thou art upheld by the chariot‑bearer.

इन्द्रं॑ वृ॒त्राय॒ हन्त॑वे पुरुहू॒तमुप॑ ब्रुवे । भरे॑षु॒ वाज॑सातये
indraṃ vṛtrāya hantave puruhūtamupa bruve bhareṣu vājasātaye
I spoke a Puruḥhotta for slaying Vritra, as a sacrifice. Bestow strength in the oblations.

vājeṣu sāsahirbhava tvāmīmahe śatakrato indra vṛtrāya hantave
Be strong in the oblations; be thou our hundred‑resolute Indra for slaying Vritra.

द्यु॒म्नेषु॑ पृत॒नाज्ये॑ पृत्सु॒तूर्षु॒ श्रव॑स्सु च । इन्द्र॒ साक्ष्वा॒भिमा॑तिषु
dyumneṣu pṛtanājye pṛtsutūrṣu śravassu ca indra sākṣvābhimātiṣu
In the heavens, in the ritual cakes, in the offerings and in fame—Indra be present in the witnesses of victory.

शु॒ष्मिन्त॑मं न ऊ॒तये॑ द्यु॒म्निनं॑ पाहि॒ जागृ॑विम् । इन्द्र॒ सोमं॑ शतक्रतो
śuṣmintamaṃ na ūtaye dyumninaṃ pāhi jāgṛvim indra somaṃ śatakrato
Protect the mild one among the heavens; keep watch, awaken the enlightened Soma, O hundred‑resolute Indra.

इ॒न्द्रि॒याणि॑ शतक्रतो॒ या ते॒ जने॑षु प॒ञ्चसु॑ । इन्द्र॒ तानि॑ त॒ आ वृ॑णे
indriyāṇi śatakrato yā te janeṣu pañcasu indra tāni ta ā vṛṇe
O hundred‑resolved, the five senses in men are thine; Indra, I have sought and found them for thee.

अग॑न्निन्द्र॒ श्रवो॑ बृ॒हद्द्यु॒म्नं द॑धिष्व दु॒ष्टर॑म् । उत्ते॒ शुष्मं॑ तिरामसि
agannindra śravo bṛhaddyumnaṃ dadhiṣva duṣṭaram utte śuṣmaṃ tirāmasi
Indra, enkindle the loud fame; strengthen the wide heavens and nourish the famed. Raise up the gentle one, I have turned thee back.

अ॒र्वा॒वतो॑ न॒ आ ग॒ह्यथो॑ शक्र परा॒वतः॑ । उ॒ लो॒को यस्ते॑ अद्रिव॒ इन्द्रे॒ह तत॒ आ ग॑हि
arvāvato na ā gahyatho śakra parāvataḥ u loko yaste adriva indreha tata ā gahi
O swift ones, do not seize from the front, you enemies of Shakra. The world that is not yours—Indra, seize that for yourself.
