आ त्वेता॒ नि षी॑द॒तेन्द्र॑म॒भि प्र गा॑यत । सखा॑यः॒ स्तोम॑वाहसः
ā tvetā ni ṣīdatendramabhi pra gāyata sakhāyaḥ stomavāhasaḥ
May you sit down and sing to Indra for us; O friends, carry forth the hymn with joyous voices.

purūtamaṃ purūṇāmīśānaṃ vāryāṇām indraṃ some sacā sute
Purūtama, the lord of abundant people, the beloved of the chariot-yoked ones—Indra, Soma, accompany the singer.

sa ghā no yoga ā bhuvatsa rāye sa puraṃdhyām gamadvājebhirā sa naḥ
He who gave us that union of strength for kingship, he who made the town flourish—may he come to us with heroic deeds.

यस्य॑ सं॒स्थे न वृ॒ण्वते॒ हरी॑ स॒मत्सु॒ शत्र॑वः । तस्मा॒ इन्द्रा॑य गायत
yasya saṃsthe na vṛṇvate harī samatsu śatravaḥ tasmā indrāya gāyata
Whose steadiness repels foes who do not seek him in assemblies, therefore they sing to Indra.

सु॒त॒पाव्ने॑ सु॒ता इ॒मे शुच॑यो यन्ति वी॒तये॑ । सोमा॑सो॒ दध्या॑शिरः
sutapāvne sutā ime śucayo yanti vītaye somāso dadhyāśiraḥ
Purifying in sacred rites, these pure ones go forth for the reward; they place Soma upon the heads (offer it).

You, for the drink of the pure, were quickly born great; Indra, glorious and bestower of lofty deeds.

May the swift horses and Soma, O Indra, enter you, O praised one; may auspicious thoughts come to your mind.

May the hymns loudly flourish for you, O hundred-minded one; may our songs increase your fame.

do not let mortal men harm us, O praised Indra; bring forth the mighty spoil with your power.
