इन्द्रा॒वरु॑णयोर॒हं स॒म्राजो॒रव॒ आ वृ॑णे । ता नो॑ मृळात ई॒दृशे॑
indrāvaruṇayorahaṃ samrājorava ā vṛṇe tā no mṛḷāta īdṛśe
I seek the lofty rule of Indra and Varuna; may they, who are far-reaching, hear our call and grant us favor.

गन्ता॑रा॒ हि स्थोऽव॑से॒ हवं॒ विप्र॑स्य॒ माव॑तः । ध॒र्तारा॑ चर्षणी॒नाम्
gantārā hi stho'vase havaṃ viprasya māvataḥ dhartārā carṣaṇīnām
They who bring wealth made the dwelling firm; the priestly strength is from us—supporters of the chariot-foots.

अ॒नु॒का॒मं त॑र्पयेथा॒मिन्द्रा॑वरुण रा॒य आ । ता वां॒ नेदि॑ष्ठमीमहे
anukāmaṃ tarpayethāmindrāvaruṇa rāya ā tā vāṃ nediṣṭhamīmahe
Indra and Varuna, sustainers of desire, I appease you; grant us that which we seek and make it firm for our standing.

यु॒वाकु॒ हि शची॑नां यु॒वाकु॑ सुमती॒नाम् । भू॒याम॑ वाज॒दाव्ना॑म्
yuvāku hi śacīnāṃ yuvāku sumatīnām bhūyāma vājadāvnām
You are the youthful strength of the mighty, the youthful wisdom of the good-minded; may we, by your abundant might, gain victory.

इन्द्रः॑ सहस्र॒दाव्नां॒ वरु॑णः॒ शंस्या॑नाम् । क्रतु॑र्भवत्यु॒क्थ्यः॑
indraḥ sahasradāvnāṃ varuṇaḥ śaṃsyānām kraturbhavatyukthyaḥ
Indra, lord of a thousand bays, and Varuṇa, revered among the praised — may the sacrificer’s power (kṛtu) be their acclaim.

तयो॒रिदव॑सा व॒यं स॒नेम॒ नि च॑ धीमहि । स्यादु॒त प्र॒रेच॑नम्
tayoridavasā vayaṃ sanema ni ca dhīmahi syāduta prarecanam
May we, united in their light, think and meditate so that we may become the ones who send forth their praise.

इन्द्रा॑वरुण वाम॒हं हु॒वे चि॒त्राय॒ राध॑से । अ॒स्मान्सु जि॒ग्युष॑स्कृतम्
indrāvaruṇa vāmahaṃ huve citrāya rādhase asmānsu jigyuṣaskṛtam
I invoke Indra and Varuṇa with glorious praise; may they, desiring us, perform what is duly made for us.

इन्द्रा॑वरुण॒ नू नु वां॒ सिषा॑सन्तीषु धी॒ष्वा । अ॒स्मभ्यं॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम्
indrāvaruṇa nū nu vāṃ siṣāsantīṣu dhīṣvā asmabhyaṃ śarma yacchatam
Indra and Varuṇa, now be gracious to us, you who sit among the wise; grant us honor and protection.

प्र वा॑मश्नोतु सुष्टु॒तिरिन्द्रा॑वरुण॒ यां हु॒वे । यामृ॒धाथे॑ स॒धस्तु॑तिम्
pra vāmaśnotu suṣṭutirindrāvaruṇa yāṃ huve yāmṛdhāthe sadhastutim
May praise reach you, Indra and Varuṇa, which I invoke; may that praise, placed on the earth, bring us prosperity.
