७ त्र्यवसाना षट्पदा उपरिष्टा द्दैवी बृहती ककुम्मतीगर्भा विराड् जगती, ८ उपरिष्टाद् बृहती। यद् राजा॑नो वि॒भज॑न्त इष्टापू॒र्तस्य॑ षोड॒शं य॒मस्या॒मी स॑भा॒सदः॑ । अवि॒स्तस्मा॒त् प्र मु॑ञ्चति द॒त्तः शि॑ति॒पात् स्व॒धा॥१॥
try-avasānā ṣaṭ-padā upariṣṭād daivī bṛhatī kakummatī-garbhā virāḍ jagatī, upariṣṭād bṛhatī. yad rājāno vibhajanta iṣṭāpūrtasya ṣoḍaśaṃ yamas yāmī sabhāsadaḥ. avis tasmāt pramuñcati dattaḥ śitipāt svadhā.
When kings divide the sixteenth share of Iṣṭāpūrta, the assembly members are in Yama’s domain. From there the given offering releases; the fallen to whiteness, svadhā.

सर्वा॒न् कामा॑न् पूरयत्या॒भव॑न् प्र॒भव॒न् भव॑न्। आ॒कू॒ति॒प्रोऽवि॑र्द॒त्तः शि॑ति॒पान्नोप॑ दस्यति ॥२॥
sarvān kāmān pūrayaty abhavan prabhavan bhavan. ākūtipro ’vir dattaḥ śitipān nopa dasyati.
She fulfills all desires—having been, becoming, and arising. Manifest in intention, the given offering by the white-faller does not withhold.

यो ददा॑ति शिति॒पाद॒मविं॑ लो॒केन॒ संमि॑तम्। स नाक॑म॒भ्यारो॑हति॒ यत्र॑ शु॒ल्को न क्रि॒यते॑ अब॒लेन॒ बली॑यसे ॥३॥
yo dadāti śitipādam aviṃ lokena saṃmitam sa nākam abhyārohati yatra śulko na kriyate abalena balīyase
Who gives the speckled-footed ewe, weighed out with the world, ascends to the sky where no tax is levied by the stronger upon the weak.

pañcāpūpaṃ śitipādam aviṃ lokena saṃmitam pradātopa jīvati pitṝṇāṃ loke’kṣitam
He who gives five cakes and the speckled-footed ewe, weighed with the world, lives unwasting in the world of the Fathers.

pañcāpūpaṃ śitipādam aviṃ lokena saṃmitam pradātopa jīvati sūrya-māsayor akṣitam
He who gives five cakes and the speckled-footed ewe, weighed with the world, lives unwasting through the cycles of Sun and Moon.

इ॑रेव नो॑प दस्यति समुद्र॑इव प॑यो मह॑त्। देवउ॑सवासि॑नाविव शितिपा॑न्नो॑प दस्यति ॥६॥
ireva no’pa dasyati samudra iva payo mahat devau savāsināv iva śitipān no’pa dasyati
May she not fail us, like the great sea its water. Like the two gods dwelling together, may the speckled-footed ewe not fail us.

क इ॒दं कस्मा॑ अदा॒त् कामः॒ कामा॑यादात्। कामो॑ दा॒ता कामः॑ प्रतिग्रही॒ता कामः॑ समु॒द्रमा वि॑वेश । कामे॑न त्वा॒ प्रति॑ गृह्णामि॒ कामै॒तत् ते॑ ॥७॥
ka idaṃ kasmā adāt kāmaḥ kāmāyādāt kāmo dātā kāmaḥ pratigrahītā kāmaḥ samudrama ā viveśa kāmena tvā pratigṛhṇāmi kāmaitat te
Who gave this and to whom? Kāma gave for desire. Kāma is the giver, Kāma the receiver; Kāma entered the ocean. With Kāma I accept you; by Kāma this is yours.

भूमि॑ष्ट्वा॒ प्रति॑ गृह्णात्व॒न्तरि॑क्षमि॒दं म॒हत्। माहं प्रा॒णेन॒ मात्मना॒ मा प्र॒जया॑ प्रति॒गृह्य॒ वि रा॑धिषि ॥८॥
bhūmiṣ tvā prati gṛhṇātv antarikṣam idaṃ mahat. māhaṃ prāṇena mātmanā mā prajayā pratigṛhya vi rādhiṣi
May the Earth accept you; this great mid-space too. May I not be parted from breath, from my very self, nor from my offspring; having welcomed you, may you richly bestow.
