य ईशे॑ पशु॒पतिः॑ पशू॒नां चतु॑ष्पदामु॒त यो द्वि॒पदा॑म्। निष्क्री॑तः॒ स य॒ज्ञियं॑ भा॒गमे॑तु रा॒यस्पोषा॒ यज॑मानं सचन्ताम्॥१॥
ya īśe paśupatiḥ paśūnāṃ catuṣpadām uta yo dvipadām | niṣkrītaḥ sa yajñiyaṃ bhāgam etu rāyaspoṣā yajamānaṃ sacantām
He who rules, Paśupati of the cattle, of the four-footed and of the two-footed—being propitiated, let him come to his sacrificial share; let wealth and increase attend the sacrificer.

प्र॒मु॒ञ्चन्तो॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ रेतो॑ गा॒तुं ध॑त्त॒ यज॑मानाय देवाः । उ॒पाकृ॑तं शशमा॒नं यदस्था॑त् प्रि॒यं दे॒वाना॒मप्ये॑तु॒ पाथः॑ ॥२॥
pramuñcanto bhuvanasya reto gātuṃ dhatta yajamānāya devāḥ | upākṛtaṃ śaśamānaṃ yad asthāt priyaṃ devānām apy etu pāthaḥ
Releasing the seed of the world, O gods, grant passage to the sacrificer. Whatever was bound, quieted and set down—let it attain the gods’ dear, protective path.

ये ब॒ध्यमा॑न॒मनु॒ दीध्या॑ना अ॒न्वैक्ष॑न्त॒ मन॑सा॒ चक्षु॑षा च । अ॒ग्निष्टानग्रे॒ प्र मु॑मोक्तु दे॒वो वि॒श्वक॑र्मा प्र॒जया॑ संररा॒णः ॥३॥
ye badhyamānam anu dīdhyānā anv aikṣanta manasā cakṣuṣā ca | agnis tam agre pramumoktu devo viśvakarmā prajayā saṃrarāṇaḥ
Those who kept watching the one being bound, pursuing with mind and eye—let Agni release him first in front; may Viśvakarman the god uphold him with offspring.

ये ग्रा॒म्याः प॒शवो॑ वि॒श्वरू॑पा विरू॑पाः सन्तो॑ बहु॒धैक॑रूपाः । वा॒युष्टानग्रे॒ प्र मु॑मोक्तु दे॒वः प्र॒जाप॑तिः प्र॒जया॑ संररा॒णः ॥४॥
ye grāmyāḥ paśavo viśvarūpā virūpāḥ santo bahudhāikarūpāḥ | vāyuṣ tān agre pramumoktu devaḥ prajāpatiḥ prajayā saṃrarāṇaḥ ||
Those village-dwelling cattle, of every form—misshapen or well-shaped, manifold yet one in kind—may the god Vāyu first release them, and Prajāpati, cherishing progeny, together with offspring.

प्र॒जा॒नन्तः॒ प्रति॑ गृह्णन्तु॒ पूर्वे॑ प्रा॒णमङ्गे॑भ्यः॒ पर्या॒चर॑न्तम्। दिवं॑ गच्छ॒ प्रति॑ तिष्ठा॒ शरी॑रैः स्व॒र्गं या॑हि प॒थिभि॑र्देव॒यानैः॑ ॥५॥
prajānantaḥ prati gṛhṇantu pūrve prāṇam aṅgebhyaḥ paryācarantam | divaṃ gaccha prati tiṣṭhā śarīraiḥ svargaṃ yāhi pathibhiḥ devayānaiḥ ||
Let the elders, who know, receive him—the life-breath moving about the limbs. Go to heaven; stand firm with the bodies. Travel to the heavenly paths leading to Svarga.
