भग॑मस्या॒ वर्च॒ आदि॒ष्यधि॑ वृ॒क्षादि॑व॒ स्रज॑म्। म॒हाबु॑ध्न इव॒ पर्व॑तो॒ ज्योक् पि॒तृष्वा॑स्ताम्॥१॥
bhagam asyā varca ādiṣy adhi vṛkṣād iva srajam | mahābudhna iva parvato jyok pitṛṣv āstām
May Bhaga’s splendor be here at the outset, laid on like a garland from the tree. Like a great-rooted mountain, may it abide ever among the Fathers.

ए॒षा ते॑ राजन् क॒न्या व॒धूर्नि धू॑यतां यम । सा मा॒तुर्ब॑ध्यतां गृ॒हेऽथो॒ भ्रातु॒रथो॑ पि॒तुः ॥२॥
eṣā te rājan kanyā vadhūr ni dhūyatāṃ yama. sā mātur badhyatāṃ gṛhe atho bhrātur atho pituḥ.
Here, O king, is your maiden, your bride; let her be purified for Yama. Let her be bound in her mother’s house, or by her brother, or by her father.

ए॒षा ते॑ कुल॒पा रा॑ज॒न् तामु॑ ते॒ परि॑ दद्मसि । ज्योक् पि॒तृष्वा॑साता॒ आ शी॒र्ष्णः स॒मोप्या॑त्॥३॥
eṣā te kulapā rājan tām u te pari dadmasi. jyok pitṛṣv āsātā ā śīrṣṇaḥ samopyāt.
Here is your household-guardian, O king; we bestow her upon you. May she long sit among the ancestors, and from the crown of the head be perfectly united.

असि॑तस्य ते॒ ब्रह्म॑णा क॒श्यप॑स्य॒ गय॑स्य च । अ॒न्तः॒को॒शमि॑व जा॒मयोऽपि॑ नह्यामि ते॒ भग॑म्॥४॥
asitasya te brahmaṇā kaśyapasya gayasya ca. antaḥkośam iva jāmayo ’pi nahyāmi te bhagam.
By the Brahman of Asita, of Kaśyapa, and of Gaya, like an inner sheath, I tightly bind to you, even your co-wives—your fortune.
