नदीभ्यः पौञ्जिष्ठमृक्षीकाभ्यो नैषादं पुरुषव्याघ्राय दुर्मदं गन्धर्वाप्सरोभ्यो व्रात्यं प्रयुग्भ्यऽउन्मत्तं म सर्पदेवजनेभ्योऽ प्रतिपदम अयेभ्यः कितवमीर्यतायाऽअकितवं पिशाचेभ्यो बिदलकारीं यातुधानेभ्यः कण्टकीकारीम।
Nadībhyaḥ pau¤jiṣṭhamṛkṣīkābhyo naiṣāda≈ puruṣavyāghrāya durmada≈ gandharvāpsarobhyo vrātya≈ prayugbhya'unmatta| m sarpadevajanebhyo' pratipadam ayebhyaḥ kitavamīryatāyā'akitava≈ piśācebhyo bidalakārī≈ yātudhānebhyaḥ kaṇṭakīkārīm.
From rivers, from the Pauñjistha (a plant), from the mṛkṣikās (reed-like plants), from the naiṣāda (outcast), from the man-lion (puruṣavyāghra), from the arrogant (durmada), from the gandharvas and apsaras, from the outcast Vrātya, from the warriors (prayugbha), from the mad, from the serpent-people and the fish-people (deva-jaṇe), from the unwalking (aprathipad) ones, from the kitava (a bird) and the mīryatā (a demon), from the akita (possessed), from the piśācas, from the cat-doers (bidalakārī), from the yātudhānas, from the thorn-makers (kaṇṭakīkārī).
