यमाय यमसू उ म अथर्वभ्योऽवतोकां म संवत्सराय पर्यायिणीं परिवत्सरायाविजाताम इदावत्सरायातीत्वरीम इद्वत्सरायातिष्कद्वरीं वत्सराय विजर्जरांम संवत्सराय पलिक्नीम ऋभुभ्योऽजिनसन्धं म साध्येभ्यश्चर्मम्नम।
Yamāya yamasū u m atharvabhyo'vatokā| m sa≈vatsarāya paryāyiṇī≈ parivatsarāyāvijātām idāvatsarāyātītvarīm idvatsarāyātiṣkadvarī≈ vatsarāya vijarjarā|m sa≈vatsarāya paliknīm ṛbhubhyo'jinasandha| m sādhyebhyaścarmamnam.
To Yama, to the Yamas, to Atharvan sages I invoked; to the year, the cyclical one, to the revolving year and to those born of the revolving year, to this year gone by, to that year beyond this, to the year’s decay, to the year made old, to the yearly cycle, to the Ṛbhus for the binding of enemies, to the practitioners and to the skins (of animals).
