Hotā yakṣannarāśa|msa≈ na nagnahu≈ pati|m surayā bheṣaja≈ meṣaḥ sarasvatī bhiṣagratho na candryasvinorvapā'indrasya vīrya≈ badarairupavākābhirbheṣaja≈ tokmabhiḥ payaḥ somaḥ parisrutā ghṛta≈ madhu vyantvājyasya hotaryaja.
The hotā invoked the gathered folk; not naked, not the husband—by Surya’s rites the medicine, the ram, Sarasvatī with healing song; not by the twin-chariots’ splendour but by Indra’s vigour—berries and invoked formulas as medicines, cakes, the Soma’s fluid, clarified butter and honey they offered for the priest’s oblation.
