आयं पश्चाद विश्वव्यचास्तस्य रथप्रोतश्चासमरथश्च सेनानीग्रामण्यौ। प्रम्लोचन्ती चानुम्लोचन्ती चाप्सरसौ व्याघ्रा हेतिः सर्पाः प्रहेतिस्तेभ्यो नमोऽअस्तु ते नोऽवन्तु ते नो मृडयन्तु ते यं द्विष्मो यश्च नो द्वेष्टि तमेषां जम्भे दध्मः।
āya≈ paścād viśvavyacāstasya rathaprotaścāsamarathaśca senānīgrāmaṇyau. Pramlocantī cānumlocantī cāpsarasau vyāghrā hetiḥ sarpāḥ prahetistebhyo namo'astu te no'vantu te no mṛŒayantu te ya≈ dviṣmo yaśca no dveṣṭi tameṣā≈ jambhe dadhmaḥ.
This is the westward all-pervader, his chariot-front and battle-chariot, his warriors and hamlets. Pramlocantī and Anumlocantī are the Apsarās; tigers and serpents are the causes—slaughters for them. Hail to them; may they protect us, may they not injure us, may those who hate us not harm them; on their jaws let us set them.
