अप्य एते ऽस्मत्पुत्राः कलभाषिणः पद्भ्यां गच्छेयुः। अप्य एते यौवनिनो भवेयुः। अपि कृतदारान एतान पश्येयम। अप्य एषां पुत्रा भवेयुः। अप्य एतत्पुत्रान पुत्रसमन्वितान पश्येयम एवमादिमनोरथान अनुदिनकालसंपत्तिवृत्तिम अवेत्यैतत संचिन्तयाम आस। अहो मे मोहस्यातिविस्तारः।।
apy ete 'smatputrāḥ kalabhāṣiṇaḥ padbhyāṃ gaccheyuḥ| apy ete yauvanino bhaveyuḥ| api kṛtadārān etān paśyeyam| apy eṣāṃ putrā bhaveyuḥ| apy etatputrān putrasamanvitān paśyeyam evamādimanorathān anudinakālasaṃpattivṛttim avetyaitat saṃcintayām āsa| aho me mohasyātivistāraḥ||
Even these sons of ours, skilled in speech, may go away. Even these youthful ones may come to be. Even those who have taken wives may be seen. Even their sons may come to be. Reflecting on these thoughts of mine, I pondered over the abundance of my desires. Oh, how vast is my delusion!
