अतो ऽहम अस्य षोडशस्त्रीसहस्रपरिग्रहाद असमर्थो धारणे। कथम चैतत सत्यभामा स्वीकरोतु। आर्यबलभद्रेणापि मदिरापानाद्यशेषोपभोगपरित्यागः कथं कार्यः। तद अयं यदुलोको ऽहं बलभद्रः सत्या च त्वां दानपते प्रार्थयामः। एतद भवान एव धारयितुं समर्थः। त्वद्स्थं चास्य राष्ट्रस्योपकारकं तद भवान अशेषराष्ट्रोपकारनिमित्तम एतत पूर्ववद धारयतु। त्वयान्यन न वक्तव्यम इत्य उक्तो दानपतिस तथेत्य उक्त्वा जग्राह च तन महारत्नम। ततः प्रभृति च अक्रूरः प्रकटेनैवातितेजसा जाज्ज्वल्यमानेनात्मकण्ठासक्तेनादित्य इवांशुमाली चचार।।
ato 'ham asya ṣoḍaśastrīsahasraparigrahād asamartho dhāraṇe| katham caitat satyabhāmā svīkarotu| āryabalabhadreṇāpi madirāpānādyaśeṣopabhogaparityāgaḥ kathaṃ kāryaḥ| tad ayaṃ yaduloko 'haṃ balabhadraḥ satyā ca tvāṃ dānapate prārthayāmaḥ| etad bhavān eva dhārayituṃ samarthaḥ| tvadsthaṃ cāsya rāṣṭrasyopakārakaṃ tad bhavān aśeṣarāṣṭropakāranimittam etat pūrvavad dhārayatu| tvayānyan na vaktavyam ity ukto dānapatis tathety uktvā jagrāha ca tan mahāratnam| tataḥ prabhṛti ca akrūraḥ prakaṭenaivātitejasā jājjvalyamānenātmakaṇṭhāsaktenāditya ivāṃśumālī cacāra||
Therefore, I, being incapable of sustaining this burden of sixteen thousand women, request Satyabhama to accept it. How can the renunciation of all enjoyments be accomplished, even by Arya Balabhadra, after drinking wine? Thus, I, Balabhadra of the Yadu clan, and Satyā, pray to you, O Lord of Gifts. You alone are capable of sustaining this. Let it be upheld for the benefit of the entire nation as before. The Lord of Gifts was told not to speak otherwise, and upon agreeing, he took that great jewel. From then on, Akrura, with his radiant form, like the sun, wandered about, deeply attached to the essence.
