तन नूनम अस्य सकाशे स महामणिः स्यमन्तकाख्यस तिष्ठति। तस्य ह्य एवंविधाः प्रभावाः श्रूयन्ते। अयम अपि च यज्ञाद अनन्तरम अन्यत क्रत्वन्तरं अनन्तरम च तस्माद यज्ञान्तरं यजतीति। अल्पोपादानं चास्या संशयम अत्रासौ वरमणिस तिष्ठतीति कृताध्यवसायो ऽन्यत प्रयोजनम उद्दिश्य सकलयादवसमाजम आत्मगेह एवाचीकरत।।
tan nūnam asya sakāśe sa mahāmaṇiḥ syamantakākhyas tiṣṭhati| tasya hy evaṃvidhāḥ prabhāvāḥ śrūyante| ayam api ca yajñād anantaram anyat kratvantaraṃ anantaram ca tasmād yajñāntaraṃ yajatīti| alpopādānaṃ cāsyā saṃśayam atrāsau varamaṇis tiṣṭhatīti kṛtādhyavasāyo 'nyat prayojanam uddiśya sakalayādavasamājam ātmageha evācīkarat||
Indeed, this great gem known as Syamantaka is present here. Its effects are heard to be of such nature. This too, after the sacrifice, is said to be another ritual, and thus it is said that one performs another sacrifice. With little effort, there is doubt here; this gem stands firm, having been determined for another purpose, aiming to establish the entire assembly of the Yadavas in the house of the self.
