अक्रूरकृतवर्मप्रमुखाश च शतधन्वानम ऊचुः। अयम अतिदुरात्मा सत्राजितो यो ऽस्माभिर भवता च अभ्यर्थितो ऽप्य आत्मजाम अस्मान भवन्तं चाविगणय्य कृष्णाय दत्तवान। तद अलम अनेन जीवता घातयित्वैनं तन महारत्नं त्वया किं न गृह्यते। वयम अभ्युपपत्स्यामो यद्य अच्युतस तवोपरि वैरानुबन्धं करिष्यतीति।।
akrūrakṛtavarmapramukhāś ca śatadhanvānam ūcuḥ| ayam atidurātmā satrājito yo 'smābhir bhavatā ca abhyarthito 'py ātmajām asmān bhavantaṃ cāvigaṇayya kṛṣṇāya dattavān| tad alam anena jīvatā ghātayitvainaṃ tan mahāratnaṃ tvayā kiṃ na gṛhyate| vayam abhyupapatsyāmo yady acyutas tavopari vairānubandhaṃ kariṣyatīti||
The foremost among the hundred bowmen, Akrura and others said: 'This extremely wicked one, who has been defeated in the sacrifice, is being worshipped by you. Even though he has given us his daughter, he should be disregarded. What is the use of living if you do not seize that great jewel from him? We shall agree to this if Acyuta will not create enmity against you.'
