।।17.9।।कटुरसाः अम्लरसाः लवणोत्कटाः अत्युष्णाः अतितीक्ष्णाः रूक्षाः विदाहिनः च इति कट्वम्ललवणात्युष्णतीक्ष्णरूक्षविदाहिनः अतिशैत्यातितैक्ष्ण्यादिना दुरुपयोगाः तीक्ष्णाः? शोषकराः रूक्षाः? तापकरा विदाहिनः? एवंविधाः आहारा राजसस्य इष्टाः। ते च रजोमयत्वाद् दुःखशोकामयत्वाद् दुःखशोकामयवर्धनाः रजोवर्धनाः च।
