।।17.18।।मनसा आदरः सत्कारः? वाचा प्रशंसा मानम्? शारीरो नमस्कारादिः पूजा। फलाभिसन्धिपूर्वकं सत्काराद्यर्थं च दम्भेन हेतुना यत् तपः क्रियते तद् इह राजसं प्रोक्तम् स्वर्गादिफलसाधनत्वेनास्थिरत्वात् चलम् अध्रुवम् चलत्वं पातभयेन चलनहेतुत्वम् अध्रुवत्वं क्षयिष्णुत्वम्।
