।।17.16।।मनःप्रसादः -- मनसः क्रोधादिरहितत्वम्? सौम्यत्वं मनसः परेषाम् अभ्युदयप्रावण्यम्? मौनं मनसा वाक्प्रवृत्तिनियमनम्? आत्मविनिग्रहः -- मनोवृत्तेः ध्येयविषये अवस्थापनम्? भावसंशुद्धिः आत्मव्यतिरिक्तविषयचिन्तारहितत्वम्? एतत् मानसं तपः।
