On hearing the words of the chaste lady, the Devas spoke to her, “Undoubtedly whatever has been requested by you shall take place. When you remain steady on the head of Gayasura we shall stay there in the form of footprints and remain there steadily.” After giving the evidence, of having granted the boon, the Devas vanished there itself.
