For stabilising (Gaya or his body) , Brahma divided himself into five, viz. Prapitdmaha (Great-grandfather) , Pitdmaha (Grandfather), the master of Phalgu, Kedara and Kanakelvara. Brahma as Vinayaka stood therein the form of an elephant. The Sun divided himself into three : Gayaditya, Uttararka and Daksinarka.•
