उ॒प॒प्र॒यन्तो॑ अध्व॒रं मन्त्रं॑ वोचेमा॒ग्नये᳚ । आ॒रे अ॒स्मे च॑ शृण्व॒ते ॥ ’ शु॒क्रं दु॑दुह्रे॒ अह्र॑यः । पयः॑ सहस्र॒सामृषि᳚म् ॥ अ॒ग्निर्मू॒र्धा दि॒वः क॒कुत् अ॒स्य प्र॒त्नामनु॒ द्युतꣳ ’सि जिन्वति ॥ अ॒यमि॒ह प्र॑थ॒मो धा॑यि धा॒तृभि॒र्होता॒ यजि॑ष्ठो पतिः॑ पृथि॒व्या अ॒यम्। अ॒पाꣳ रेताꣳ अध्व॒रेष्वीड्यः॑ । यमप्न॑वानो॒ भृग॑वो विरुरु॒चुर्वने॑षु चि॒त्रं वि॒भुवं॑ वि॒शेवि॑शे ॥ उ॒भा वा॑मिन्द्राग्नी आहु॒वध्या॑ उ॒भा राध॑सः स॒ह मा॑द॒यध्यै᳚ । उ॒भा दा॒तारा॑वि॒षाꣳ र॑यी॒णामु॒भा वाज॑स्य सा॒तये॑ हुवे वाम्॥ taittirIyasamhitA.pdf अ॒यं ते॒ योनि॑रृ॒त्वियो॒ यतो॑ जा॒तो अरो॑चथाः । तं जा॒नन्न॑ग्न॒ आ रो॒हाथा॑ नो वर्धया र॒यिम्॥ ’षि पवस॒ आ सु॒वोर्ज॒मिषं॑ च नः । आ॒रे बा॑धस्व दु॒च्छुना᳚म्॥ अग्ने॒ पव॑स्व॒ स्वपा॑ अग्न॒ आयूꣳ ’ र॒यिं अ॒स्मे वर्चः॑ सु॒वीर्य᳚म्। दध॒त्पोषꣳ मयि॑ ॥ अग्ने॑ पावक रो॒चिषा॑ म॒न्द्रया॑ देव जि॒ह्वया᳚ । आ दे॒वान्, व॑क्षि॒ यक्षि॑ च ॥ स नः॑ पावक दीदि॒वोऽग्ने॑ दे॒वाꣳ इ॒हाऽऽव॑ह । उप॑ य॒ज्ञꣳ ह॒विश्च॑ नः ॥ अ॒ग्निः शुचि॑व्रततमः॒ शुचि॒र्विप्रः॒ शुचिः॑ क॒विः । शुची॑ रोचत॒ आहु॑तः ॥ उद॑ग्ने॒ शुच॑य॒स्तव॑ शु॒क्रा भ्राज॑न्त ईरते । तव॒ ज्योतीग्॑ष्य॒र्चयः॑ ॥ आ॒यु॒र्दा अ॑ग्ने॒ऽस्यायु॑र्मे देहि वर्चो॒दा अ॑ग्नेऽसि॒ वर्चो॑ मे देहि तनू॒पा अ॑ग्नेऽसि त॒नुवं॑ मे पा॒ह्यग्ने॒ यन्मे॑ त॒नुवा॑ ऊ॒नं तन्म॒ आ पृ॑ण॒ चित्रा॑वसो स्व॒स्ति ते॑ पा॒रम॑शी॒येन्धा॑नास्त्वा श॒तꣳ हिमा᳚ द्यु॒मन्तः॒ समि॑धीमहि॒ ’ सु॒वीरा॑सो॒ अदा᳚भ्यम्। अग्ने॑ सपत्न॒दम्भ॑नं॒ वर्षि॑ष्ठे॒ वय॑स्वन्तो वय॒स्कृतं॒ यश॑स्वन्तो यश॒स्कृतꣳ अधि॒ नाके ᳚ ॥ सं त्वम॑ग्ने॒ सूर्य॑स्य॒ वर्च॑साऽगथाः॒ समृषी॑णाग्स्तु॒तेन॒ सं प्रि॒येण॒ धाम्ना᳚ । ’ र॒यिं मे॒ वर्च॑सा त्वम॑ग्ने॒ सूर्य॑वर्चा असि॒ सं मामायु॑षा॒ वर्च॑सा प्र॒जया॑ सृज ॥ आ॒हु॒वध्यै॒ पोषꣳ स॒प्तद॑श च
a As we approach the sacrifice, Let us utter a hymn to Agni, Who heareth us, even from afar. b After his ancient splendour, The bold ones have drawn the white milk From the seer who winneth a thousand. c Agni is the head of the sky, the height, Lord of the earth here, He quickeneth the seed of the waters. d Here hath he first been established by the establishers, Youngest Hotr to be invoked at the sacrifices, Whom Apnavana and the Bhrgus caused to shine, Bright in the woods, spreading from house to house. e Ye twain shall be summoned, O Indra and Agni [1], Ye twain shall rejoice together in the offering You both, givers of food and riches, You both I summon for the winning of strength. f This is thy due place of birth, Whence born thou didst shine; Mount it, O Agni, knowing it, And make our wealth increase. g O Agni, thou purifiest life; Do thou give food and strength to us; Far away drive ill−fortune. h O Agni, good worker, purify for us Glory in good heroes, Giving increase of wealth [2] to me. i O Agni, the purifying, with thy light, O god, with thy pleasant tongue, Bring hither the gods and sacrifice. k Do thou, O shining and purifying one, O Agni, bring hither the gods To our sacrifice and our oblation.
