ayā pavā pavasvainā vasūni mām̐ścatva indo sarasi pra dhanva bradhnaścidatra vāto na jūtaḥ purumedhaścittakave naraṃ dāt
This ritual air, by the sacred fires, brings forth the treasures and the meats; Indra, stretch forth thy swift spear upon the marshy plain. The winds increase here and do not withhold the man whom the mind has endowed.
With this filtered stream pour on us those treasures; do you, Indu, advance to the brown water; at this rite may the sun, rapid as the wind, may (Indra) the object of many sacrifices grant a son to me approaching (the Soma).
Pour forth this wealth with this purification: flow onward to the yellow lake, O Indu. Here, too, the Ruddy, wind-swift, full of wisdom, Shall give a son to him who cometh quickly.
