sa punāna upa sūre na dhātobhe aprā rodasī vi ṣa āvaḥ priyā cidyasya priyasāsa ūtī sa tū dhanaṃ kāriṇe na pra yaṃsat
He, born anew, did not disgrace the shining ones nor the metal vessels; the winds approached. He who delights in beloved things, the beloved held high, did not let wealth go to the wrong doer.
The purified (Soma) approaches (Indra) as the year (approaches) the sun, he fills both heaven and earth (with his radiance), he opens (the darkness with his light); may he, the beloved (Soma), whose beloved (streams) are for (our) preservation, bestow upon us wealth like (wages given) to a labourer.
Cleansed near the Sun as 'twere he as Creator hath filled full heaven and earth, and hath disclosed them. He by whose dear help men gain all their wishes shall yield the precious meed as to a victor.
