somaṃ gāvo dhenavo vāvaśānāḥ somaṃ viprā matibhiḥ pṛcchamānāḥ somaḥ sutaḥ pūyate ajyamānaḥ some arkāstriṣṭubhaḥ saṃ navante
Cows and kine crave Soma; the seers ask Soma with their counsels. Soma, pressed out, is offered and born anew; Soma’s rays, in triple measures, come together.
The kine (are) longing for the Soma; wise men (are) inquiring for him with praises; Soma being effused is purified blended (with milk), our adorations in the triṣṭubh metre are united in the Soma.
To Soma come the Cows, the Milch-kine longing, to Soma sages with their hvmns inquiring. Soma, effused, is purified and blended our hymns and Trstup songs unite in Soma.
