Sickness, rending and the eye's wounds are ever present; gird yourselves anew, O Indra, raise the strength of the steeds. From the summit the horned ones, fallen by slaughter, those who end from afar—these are your foes.
Demolish the strong dwellings of the rākṣasa; Indu, when purified put on his strength; cut to pieces with your destructive weapon (the rākṣasas) who come from above, from nigh, or from afar and their leader.
Break down the, strong seats even of the demons: cleansing thee, Indu, robd thyself in vigour. Rend with thy swift bolt, coming from above them, those who are near and those who yet are distant.
