ete somā ati vārāṇyavyā divyā na kośāso abhravarṣāḥ vṛthā samudraṃ sindhavo na nīcīḥ sutāso abhi kalaśām̐ asṛgran
These Somās are exceedingly forest-born, divine; not from the cellars are the cloud-rains. In vain the ocean’s rivers did not sink low; they poured into the pitchers but did not pour away.
These Soma-juices pass through the woollen fleece, like the rains of heaven showered by the clouds; the effused juices flow promptly to the pitchers as rivers running downwards (flow) into the ocean.
These Somas passing through the fleecy filter, like rain descending from the clouds of heaven, Have been effused and poured into the beakers, swiftly like rivers running lowly seaward.
