अस॑र्जि स्क॒म्भो दि॒व उद्य॑तो॒ मदः॒ परि॑ त्रि॒धातु॒र्भुव॑नान्यर्षति । अं॒शुं रि॑हन्ति म॒तयः॒ पनि॑प्नतं गि॒रा यदि॑ नि॒र्णिज॑मृ॒ग्मिणो॑ य॒युः
asarji skambho diva udyato madaḥ pari tridhāturbhuvanānyarṣati aṃśuṃ rihanti matayaḥ panipnataṃ girā yadi nirṇijamṛgmiṇo yayuḥ
The sky’s pillar rose forth; intoxication spreads and pervades the threefold gods and the worlds. The minds release the ray; if the rocks of the mountains break, the wild beasts flee away.
The supporter of heaven the prepared exhilarating (Soma) is let loose, the triple (beverage) rushes to the waters; the worshippers taste the sounding Soma juice, when the reciters of holy texts approach the embodied (beverage) with praise.
Loosed is the heavens! support, the uplifted cheering juice: the triply-mingled draught flows round into the worlds. The holy hymns caress the stalk that claims our praise, when singers have approached his beauteous robe with song.
