vipaścite pavamānāya gāyata mahī na dhārātyandho arṣati ahirna jūrṇāmati sarpati tvacamatyo na krīḷannasaradvṛṣā hariḥ
The perceptive one sings for Pavamana; earth does not sustain the blind. A snake does not crawl over wrinkled old skin; the playful stallion is not harmed.
Sing (you priests) to the intelligent Pavamāna; like a mighty shower he sends forth food; like a snake he glides out of his old skin, sporting like a horse he hastens forth, the showerer, green-tinted.
Sing forth to Pavamana skilled in holy song: the juice is flowing onward like a mighty stream. He.glideth like a serpent from his ancient skin, and like a playful horse the Tawny Steer hath run.
