The flock circles the lofty summit, overshadowing the brightness of the sun. The divine wide-winged one saw; Soma with power perceives by ritual the born ones.
Like a bull approaching the herbs (Soma) roars (as he approaches the praises); he appropriates the lustre of the sun; celestial, flying gracefully he looks down upon the earth; by his wisdom Soma contemplates mankind.
Like a bull roaming round the herds he bellows: he hath assumed the brilliancy of Surya. Down to the earth hath looked the heavenly Falcon: Soma with wisdom views all living creatures.
