स म॑र्मृजा॒न इ॑न्द्रि॒याय॒ धाय॑स॒ ओभे अ॒न्ता रोद॑सी हर्षते हि॒तः । वृषा॒ शुष्मे॑ण बाधते॒ वि दु॑र्म॒तीरा॒देदि॑शानः शर्य॒हेव॑ शु॒रुधः॑
sa marmṛjāna indriyāya dhāyasa obhe antā rodasī harṣate hitaḥ vṛṣā śuṣmeṇa bādhate vi durmatīrādediśānaḥ śaryaheva śurudhaḥ
He, softening the mouth for the senses, rejoices at the ends of both paths, the tearful dawn being beneficial. Bulls are vexed by dry distress; from perverse counsels arise arrows like spears, the bold slayer.
Being filtered for Indra's world-supporting strength, stationed in the midst of both worlds he goes (everywhere); the showerer destroys the evil-minded by his vigour, challenging the asuras like an archer.
He, while he is adorned to stream forth mighty strength, rejoices in his place between the earth and heaven. The Steer dispels the evil-hearted with his might, aiming at offerings as an archer at the game.
