स भिक्ष॑माणो अ॒मृत॑स्य॒ चारु॑ण उ॒भे द्यावा॒ काव्ये॑ना॒ वि श॑श्रथे । तेजि॑ष्ठा अ॒पो मं॒हना॒ परि॑ व्यत॒ यदी॑ दे॒वस्य॒ श्रव॑सा॒ सदो॑ वि॒दुः
sa bhikṣamāṇo amṛtasya cāruṇa ubhe dyāvā kāvyenā vi śaśrathe tejiṣṭhā apo maṃhanā pari vyata yadī devasya śravasā sado viduḥ
He, begging, drank the nectar; both the sky and earth, by song, listened to it. The strongest waters, mighty and encompassing, sat in the fame of the god, and they knew it as true.
He being solicited for auspicious ambrosia opens both heaven and earth by his intelligence, he covers the lustrious waters with his greatness, when (the priests) with the oblation recognize the station of the radiant (Soma).
Longing for lovely Amrta, by his wisdom he divided, each apart from other, earth and heaven. He gladly wrapped himself in the most lucid floods, when through their glory they found the God's resting-place.
