utāhaṃ naktamuta soma te divā sakhyāya babhra ūdhani ghṛṇā tapantamati sūryaṃ paraḥ śakunā iva paptima
As by night and dawn I am yours, Soma, by day companion, they bear upward. The sun scorching, beyond, like a shaft, attains its prize.
I (delight) in your presence, tawny-coloured Soma, both day and night, for the sake of your friendship may we soar like birds far beyond the sun blazing with your light.
Close to thy bosom am I, Soma, day and night. O Tawny-hued, for friendship sake. Surya himself refulgent with his glow have we o'ertaken in his course like birds.
