O Arjuna-born, the plunderer of enemies, your dear son is not to be struck down. The waters destroy darkness like a chariot in rivers between banks.
Agreeable affectionate like a son about to be decorated, the Soma is clad in a shining robe; they send him with thei rarms into the streams as active (warriors and their) chariot into (battle).
Like a dear son who must be decked, the Lovely One hath clad him in a shining robe. Men skilful at their work drive him forth, like a car, into the rivers from their bands.
