Who opposite to Indra held the spear-like sharp battle-weapon of the Maruts? The Asuras without weapons and the heedless gods were rent and scattered by that mighty wheel.
Your sharp bow, the host of Maruts, and your thunderbolt who, Indra, has ever withstood? The asurasare weaponless and abandoned by the gods, drive them away by your discus, O Ṛjīṣin.
Sung is the song of ancient time: to Indra have ye said the prayer. They have sung many a Brhati of sacrifice, poured forth the worshipper's many thoughts.
